The Group of Youth under the aegis of Northern youth for democracy have supported the removal of Ms Hadiza Bala Usman as managing director of Nigeria Port Authority (NPA).

In a statement issued on Monday in Kano signed by Engineer Bello Muhammad Gambo, the coordinator of the youth group stated that her removal is in line with fight against corruption by the federal government, while commending the minister of transport Mr Rotimi Ameachi for his stand to the removal of embattled former Managing Director, Hadiza Usman.

The youth also urged President Muhammad to set-up panel of investigation that will expose all her corrupt practices in the authority.

According to them “we are saddened by the mismanagement and corrupt practices in the port authority and we believed the President Muhammad Buhari will not tolerates this. We are optimistic that she will face the law at the end of the panel of investigation outcome “.

“We as northern youth condemned her actions in the port authority and we are solidly behind the minister of transportation. We want the agencies fighting corruption in the country to wade in and bring back the mismanagement done by Ms Hadiza to order”.

The youth also pledged to continue supporting the federal government actions against any corruption persons, assuring that the northern youare also supporting the ministry of transportation.
