Dr. Agbo Major, the newly elected National Chairman, announced the decision while addressing journalists at the party’s National Headquarters in Abuja on Saturday. He reaffirmed the party’s commitment to the ruling of the Abia High Court, which recognized the NNPP’s Board of Trustees (BOT).

The convention also ratified the election of Dr. Major as the new National Chairman, alongside a newly constituted National Working Committee (NWC). According to him, the expulsion of Kwankwaso and his allies is final, as the 2022 Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) that brought them into the party has expired.

Delegates at the convention also reverted to the party’s original logo, discarding the new emblem introduced by Kwankwaso’s faction. Additionally, a financial review was conducted to strengthen the party’s internal structures ahead of upcoming elections.

Dr. Major accused Kwankwaso’s supporters of spreading misinformation and attempting to destabilize the NNPP. He urged them to exit peacefully and called on the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to update its records to reflect the leadership changes.
