The Chairman of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), Akwa Ibom State Chapter, Comrade Sunny James, has congratulated and welcomed the Commissioner of Police, CP Baba Mohammed Azare, to the Akwa Ibom State Command.

During a courtesy visit to the State Headquarters at Ikot Akpan Abia, Comrade James commended the CP for his remarkable efforts since assuming office, particularly in maintaining law and order across the state.

The NLC Chairman emphasized the importance of sustained collaboration between the Police Command and the Nigeria Labour Congress, noting that such synergy has significantly contributed to the peace and security in Akwa Ibom State.

He further expressed the readiness of the NLC to work closely with the Police Command to strengthen this partnership for the benefit of all residents.

Responding, the Commissioner of Police, CP Baba Mohammed Azare, thanked the NLC delegation for their kind gesture and thoughtful visit. He reaffirmed his commitment to fostering the existing relationship between the Police and the NLC.

The CP also stressed the importance of effective communication between the Police Command and the public. He encouraged the wider dissemination of contact details of principal officers in the Command, ensuring every household has access to critical information and assistance when needed.

The visit concluded with mutual assurances of collaboration, unity, and a shared vision for a safer and more harmonious Akwa Ibom State.
