In the wake of these developments, the White House has asserted that there is no indication that Russia was involved in the coup d’état that took place in Niger last week.

John Kirby, the spokesperson for the US Presidential National Security Council, made this statement during a press briefing in Washington DC.

Furthermore, the United States reaffirmed its stance on its presence in Niger, as no imminent threat to its citizens has been identified.

The US government has not made any decisions regarding the continuation of aid provided to Niger at this time.
