The former Minister of Youths and Sports Development, Barrister Solomon Dalung has described Nigerian politicians as “political bandits and political terrorists.”

Daily News24 reports that Dalung made the passing comments on an occasion where a police officer, ACP Daniel Amah was being conferred with integrity awards by the Center for awareness on justice and accountability (CAJA) for rejecting a bribe of $200,000 to suppress a criminal investigation involving one Ali Zaki who allegedly arranged armed robbers to trail and rob a Bureau D’ Change operator of $750.

Dalung said; “our political class kidnaps our values and everything that belongs to us and they even kidnap the goodness in us, and what we do daily is to pay them ransom through daily suffering.

“As we continue to suffer and they continue to kill people, they continue to adapt people and they continue to even rape women and their children in front of their daughters and families and continue to represent Nigeria as a nation of poverty.

According to Dalung, “Nigerian politicians use the susceptibility of Nigerian religious beliefs to manipulate them so that to see them as very Godly but they are worse than the devil.

“The only thing they can do to manipulate Nigeria is that you see them looking very very Godly but indeed they are worse than the devil.” He added.

The former Minister emphasized that the only solution is for Nigerians, particularly the youths to imbibe the quality of integrity which includes truthfulness, hard work, tolerance, selflessness, and love.
