The President made the statement on Monday at the Presidential Villa in Abuja during the launch of the official biography of the late former President Muhammadu Buhari, titled From Soldier to Statesman: The Legacy of Muhammadu Buhari.

Speaking while unveiling the book, Tinubu said Nigeria’s strength lies in its diversity and collective commitment to national ideals. “Nigeria is greater than any tribe, language, faith, or political party,” he said, adding that the biography shows how a life guided by discipline and responsibility can inspire an entire nation. He prayed for unity, wisdom and peace, expressing confidence that the country would endure and prosper through shared effort and divine grace.

Tinubu also praised Buhari’s leadership style, noting that his administration focused on long-term national development. He said the former president prioritised sustained investment in critical infrastructure such as bridges, railways, roads and airports, while placing strong emphasis on maintenance and durability.

The President further highlighted Buhari’s approach to social welfare, describing him as a leader who believed in targeted social intervention programmes designed to protect the most vulnerable Nigerians and ensure that no segment of society was left behind.
