The Chairman of Katcha Local Government Area in Niger State, Danlami Abdullahi Saku, has died in a fatal car accident along the Minna-Suleja Road.

The tragic incident occurred around 7:00 pm on Tuesday at Kwakwuti, as Saku was traveling to Abuja.

Confirming the development in a statement on Tuesday night, the Chief Press Secretary to the Niger State Governor, Bologi Ibrahim, said Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago received the news with “rude shock,” describing Saku’s death as heartbreaking.

The governor said, “The demise of Saku is a sharp reminder that all creatures are from Allah and unto Him they will return at the appointed time.”

Governor Bago extended his condolences to Saku’s family, the people of Katcha Local Government Area, and the entire state, urging them to remain steadfast in their faith.

He encouraged the people to accept the will of Allah, adding, “He is perfect in all things.”
