Nigerian media personality Nedu Wazobia has announced his departure from The Honest Bunch podcast, citing mounting scrutiny and unfounded allegations.
His resignation follows a controversy sparked by a recent episode featuring comedian Deeone, who made claims about social media critic VeryDarkMan (VDM).

In response, VDM accused Nedu of persistently inviting him to the podcast since 2024, even alleging that Nedu offered to buy him a car as an incentive.
Addressing the situation in an Instagram post, Nedu stated that the constant criticism had taken a personal toll on him. “The past week has brought a lot into perspective for me,” he wrote. “Hosting The Honest Bunch Podcast has been an incredible journey, but it has also come with overwhelming scrutiny, antagonism, and baseless accusations.”
He emphasized that stepping down was a difficult but necessary choice for his well-being, family, and the podcast’s integrity. “I have made the difficult decision to step away from the podcast,” he said. “This is not a decision I take lightly, but one I believe is necessary for my peace of mind, for my family, and for the integrity of the show itself.”
Nedu expressed hope that his departure would put an end to the controversy and allow the podcast to move forward. “I sincerely hope this decision brings an end to the negativity surrounding my name and allows The Honest Bunch Podcast to continue thriving,” he concluded.
