The arrests occurred at Rahama Round in Bebeji, as part of a focused operation by the NDLEA.

The information was disclosed in a press release from the NDLEA Kano State Command, issued by Public Relations Officer Sadiq Muhammad Maigatari.

The suspects, Musa Usman, 25, and Buhari Ya’u Bashir, 24, were found in possession of 1.1 kilograms of cannabis sativa, 8 grams (38 tablets) of diazepam, and 59 grams (165 tablets) of Exol.

During the operation, Usman resisted arrest and attempted to attack the officers with a dagger, leading to the officer’s injury.

NDLEA State Commander Abubakar Idris Ahmad condemned the violence, asserting that such attacks would not deter the agency’s commitment to its mission. He emphasized that the NDLEA will continue to fight drug trafficking and uphold the law despite such challenges.

Both suspects are in custody and are expected to face charges for drug-related offenses and assaulting law enforcement officers.
