In its statement, the commission explained that intending pilgrims from the Maiduguri-Yola Zone, which covers Borno, Yobe, Adamawa and Taraba states, will pay N8,318,336.67. Those from other northern states are expected to pay N8,244,813.67, while pilgrims from the southern states will pay N8,561,013.67.
The new fares reflect a reduction of N200,000 across all categories compared to the 2025 rates, when pilgrims from the Maiduguri-Yola Zone paid N8.31 million, other northern states N8.44 million, and southern states N8.76 million.
NAHCON recalled that it had earlier projected a tentative fare of N8.5 million for the 2026 Hajj, which was subject to review pending negotiations with Saudi service providers and final approval from the Federal Government. The commission confirmed that agreements have now been finalized with Mashareeq Al-Zahabiyya as the main service provider and Daleel Al-Ma’aleem for transportation in Saudi Arabia.
The Chairman of the commission urged intending pilgrims to complete their payments before December 31, 2025, to enable smooth arrangements for the exercise.
