In a statement, Garo described Ramadan as a period of fasting, reflection, and closeness to Allah. He encouraged Muslims, especially in Kano State, to use the opportunity to seek forgiveness, engage in fervent prayers, and give alms to the less privileged.
“I urge every Muslim to remain steadfast in their faith and be shining examples of the virtues of Prophet Muhammad (peace and Allah’s blessings be upon him), which include compassion, generosity, and kindness,” he said.
He also called on Kano residents to pray for the prosperity of the state and the nation at large.
“I wish a blessful Ramadan and Allah’s blessings upon you and your loved ones,” he added.
Garo concluded his message with prayers for a fulfilling Ramadan, saying, “Ramadan Kareem, Jumu’at Mubarak!”
