In a Sallah message delivered on Saturday in Kano, Garo congratulated Muslims on the successful completion of the Ramadan fast and the Eid-el-Fitr celebration. He emphasized that the teachings of the Holy Quran and Hadith promote peace, love, discipline, and humility, urging believers to embody these values in their daily lives.

He reminded Muslims that worship should not be limited to Ramadan but should be a lifelong commitment. Garo, who previously served as Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, highlighted the significance of the celebration, stressing the importance of love, charity, and peaceful coexistence with people of different faiths.

He also encouraged Muslims to use the festive period to pray for lasting peace in Kano and Nigeria at large.
