In a statement, Garo highlighted the significance of the first day of Muharram, describing it as a time of reflection on the Prophet Muhammad’s historic migration from Makkah to Madinah, a journey symbolizing faith, resilience, and sacrifice.

He called on Muslims to embrace the values of love, compassion, and kindness during the sacred period and to use the new year as an opportunity to foster peace and unity within their communities.

Garo also offered prayers for continued blessings and lasting peace in Kano State and throughout Nigeria, expressing hope that the year ahead would bring progress, prosperity, and greater harmony to the nation.
