President Bola Tinubu‘s expected ministerial list was absent from the Senate Order Paper on Wednesday, July 19, as lawmakers reconvened for plenary. Despite numerous reports suggesting the President had submitted the list, its absence raised concerns.

According to legal requirements, President Tinubu has only nine days remaining to submit his list of ministerial nominees to the National Assembly for screening and confirmation.

The law mandates that the list be forwarded within 60 days from the President’s inauguration.

As the incumbent administration was inaugurated on May 29, with the transition of leadership from former President Muhammadu Buhari to Tinubu, the constitutional deadline for the ministerial list looms near.

With less than ten days left, time is running out for Tinubu to assemble his cabinet.

As Nigerians await the unveiling of the ministerial nominees, the delay in the submission of the list raises questions about the potential factors influencing the selection process and the eventual composition of Tinubu’s cabinet.
