The Major League Soccer, MLS, has set sights on making Chelsea winger Christian Pulisic the face of the league after the 2026 FIFA World Cup, replacing Lionel Messi, according to AS.

The plan is to lure Pulisic back to the United States, and the player is open to making the return.

The MLS has already made plans for the future, despite Messi’s plans to join the league.

The Argentina captain is yet to make his debut for Inter Miami after joining the club on a free transfer from Paris Saint-Germain.

But the MLS is already thinking about the players who could replace the seven-time Ballon d’Or winner as the face of the league after the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
