A Max Air Boeing 737 suffered a burst tyre while landing at Mallam Aminu Kano International Airport on Tuesday night, causing the aircraft to come to an abrupt stop on the runway.

Eyewitnesses reported that the tyre burst into flames upon touchdown, filling the cabin with smoke and prompting an emergency evacuation. Firefighters responded swiftly to contain the situation, ensuring the safety of passengers and crew.
Fortunately, no injuries were recorded, and all occupants were safely evacuated.
Max Air has apologized for the incident and expressed relief that no lives were lost.
An investigation into the cause of the malfunction is expected to take place.
