The dispute reportedly began after Muhammad’s half-brother was killed by criminals who also made away with his tricycle. The father allegedly blamed Muhammad for the tragedy, which led to his arrest and imprisonment, Daily Post reports.
However, after he was acquitted and released, Muhammad discovered that his father had sold his house, allegedly believing he would not return.
During the hearing, Malam Shaddadu denied the allegation and pleaded not guilty. Presiding Judge Malam Munzali Idris Gwadabe described the issue as a domestic dispute between a father and son, urging both parties to seek peace.
He subsequently referred the matter to the Court of Arbitration to facilitate reconciliation between them.
