From Haruna  Usman, Birnin Kebbi

The Kebbi State Branch Chairman of National Youth Council Comrade Aliyu Bunza has called on youths in Kebbi state to promptly register their sim cards with the National identification number (NIN).

According to him doing that will assist the federal government to use the current technology to reduce insecurity in the country.

He added that youths are the bedrock of society and a whole lots of them are used as party thugs and bandits by selfish politicians.

“As the head in Kebbi I will do everything within my limits to ensure youth get the deserved security and are incorporated in the scheme of things in the country.” He said.

Comrade Ali appeals to Nigerian government to consider opening sim registration as it has become source of employment to millions of youth across the country.

“The NIN can continue while sim registration goes as it will engage youth and sim users alike to register with NIN as sims will not work without it, therefore the youth will be busy and the country will be at peace.” He said.

While commending the Minister for Digital Economy, Ali Isah Pantami for bringing far reaching changes in the digital world, he urged him to engage telecom providers across the country to ensure sufficient network for calls and online transactions.

He explained that, Nigerians are not comfortable with very poor services from the four major telecom 9mobile, Glo, Airtel and MTN these providers have no reason not to give Nigerians value for their monies Ali said.
