According to security analyst Zagazola Makama, who shared the information via his official handle on X, the incident happened around 4:30 a.m. on Thursday, April 24, after Idris stopped a truck for not carrying a waybill. The officer reportedly boarded the vehicle to inspect its contents when the driver suddenly sped off.

Idris was allegedly pushed out of the moving truck near the Muhammadu Buhari Interchange flyover by the two passengers on board. He sustained severe injuries and was rushed to Murtala Muhammad Specialist Hospital, where he was confirmed dead.

The truck driver, 25-year-old Yakubu Abdulsalam, and the two passengers, Tunde Momodu and Sagir Yusuf, have been arrested and are currently in police custody.

Authorities say investigations are ongoing to determine the motive behind the incident and bring those responsible to justice.
