The Managing Director of the Kano State Refuse Management and Sanitation Board (REMASAB), Haruna Danzago, has passed away.

He died on Thursday morning at Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital (AKTH) after a brief illness.
Danzago was a respected public servant and politician known for his fearless approach to governance. His contributions to Kano State’s political and administrative landscape earned him recognition.
He was appointed as REMASAB’s managing director on July 5, 2023, by Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf, who entrusted him with the responsibility of improving the state’s sanitation system.
The late Danzago will be buried at his residence in Kurna Tudun Bojuwa, Kano, in accordance with Islamic rites. He is survived by his wives and children.
