Daily News 24 reports that this was disclosed in a statement issued on Thursday by the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa, on behalf of the Commissioner of Police, Kano State Command.

The vehicles, reported stolen from different locations, were traced and retrieved following complaints lodged on the e-CMR platform. Among them was a white Howo truck stolen from Riruwai, Doguwa LGA, on January 17, 2025, which was later found in Lokoja, Kogi State.

Other recovered vehicles include a black Honda Accord stolen in Abuja, a white Mercedes Benz GLK taken from Magwan Road, Kano, and a red Toyota Corolla LE stolen in Abuja.

Additionally, a black Toyota Camry reported missing in Kaduna and a white Toyota Hilux stolen in Katsina were retrieved in Kano. A Pontiac Vibe stolen in Katsina was also recovered at Ring Road Bypass, Kano.

The recovered vehicles have been returned to their rightful owners. The police described the operation as proof of the effectiveness of the e-CMR platform in tackling vehicle theft.

The Kano Police Command urged residents to register their vehicles on the e-CMR platform through https://cmris.npf.gov.ng to enhance security and aid law enforcement efforts.
