Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf attended the ceremony, joined by senior government officials, family members, and colleagues of the deceased, who described his death as a significant blow to security efforts in the state.

According to reports, Salisu was killed on Tuesday night when suspected criminals attacked his home in Sharada.

Salisu was widely recognized for his leadership of the task force that tackled phone snatching, a persistent problem affecting residents, especially young people, in busy areas of Kano.

Security agencies have launched investigations to identify and apprehend those responsible for his killing. The Kano State Government has vowed to ensure that anyone involved faces strict legal action.
