The National Forum of Kano Indigene Lawyers has called for increased recognition of Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf’s exceptional leadership, praising his resilience and commitment to quality governance.

The group expressed satisfaction with his unwavering dedication to transformative administration in Kano State.
In a statement, the forum’s national coordinator highlighted several prestigious awards Governor Yusuf has received, acknowledging his significant impact on the socio-economic development of the state. These include the Leadership Governor of the Year 2024, Vanguard Governor of the Year 2024 in the “Good Governance” category, and the African Good Governance Award 2025.
The group also commended the governor’s leadership during the tense Sallah festivities in Kano, where his wisdom and emotional resilience helped defuse potential provocation and conflict. The forum believes his ability to manage such complex situations with wisdom and emotional intelligence deserves further recognition and another award for excellence.
