The Kano Hisbah Command has once again arrested popular TikTok star Rabiu Sulaiman, known as Lawancy.
Confirming the arrest to Daily News 24, Second-in-command at the Surveillance Unit, Isma’il Umar noted that Lawancy was apprehended by Hisbah operatives at Farm Centre in Kano State.

The arrest was made on the grounds of Lawancy dancing indecently and holding hands with members of the opposite sex in his videos, which Hisbah officials deemed inappropriate.
This is not the first time Lawancy has found himself in trouble with the authorities. In 2023, he was similarly arrested by the Kano Hisbah Command. At that time, Lawancy pleaded for forgiveness and publicly announced his repentance.
The Kano Hisbah Command continues to enforce its strict moral guidelines, aiming to maintain social and religious decorum in the state.
Daily News 24 earlier reported Hisbah also arrested popular tiktoker, Gfresh for controversial utterances and recitation of Fatiha, the first chapter of the Holy Qur’an inappropriately.
Both tiktok stars would be charged to court upon completion of investigation.
