Meanwhile, the court ordered the closure of Ibn Mas’ud and Matasa secondary school in Naibawa due to violating the commission’s regulations.

The board had accused the two schools of endangering the lives of pupils and students by placing them in substandard buildings that leak water while they were taking lessons, during an unscheduled visit.

The court has adjourned the hearing to September 9, 2024.

In his remarks, Mr Umar, emphasized that necessary actions will be taken against proprietors of private schools found violating laws.

He also expressed confidence in the state government’s support for enhancing private schools and their management in Kano State.
