The Kano state government has announced Monday 16th September, 2024 as the new date for the resumption of all public, private primary and post primary schools in the state for the new 2024/2025 academic session.

Daily News 24 reports that this was revealed in a statement issued Thursday by Balarabe Abdullahi Kiru, the Director for Public Enlightenment of the state’s Ministry of Education.

Mr Kiru urged parents/guardians to ensure compliance with the new resumption date, while also advising students “to avoid bringing any illegal items to school, such as knives or razors, and to obey the law.”

The statement restated the commitment of the Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf administration’s commitment to ensuring that every child has access to a quality education.
