“The role of digital journalists in information dissemination is pivotal to the promotion of the Kano State Government’s programs,” he added.

The Acting Chairman of ASKOJ, Yakubu Salisu, expressed the association’s primary mission during the visit stating that “The association was born out of the need to tackle merchants of fake news and restore credibility to online journalism in the state as well as an umbrella for its members,”

The delegation of ASKOJ were received by the Commissioner for information and senior directors of the Ministry, including Alh. Sani Bashir Yola, Permanent Secretary; Usman Bello, Director of Internal Affairs; and Sani Abba Yola, Director of Special Duties.
