The Police Service Commission has approved CP Ibrahim Adamu Bakori as the new Commissioner of Police for Kano State.

The Police Service Commission spokesperson, Ikechukwu Ani, announced this on Tuesday.

Bakori, from Katsina State, replaces CP Salman Garba Dogo, now an Assistant Inspector General of Police. He previously served as Commissioner of Police Homicide at the Force Investigation Department in Abuja and held key roles, including Bayelsa Joint Task Force Commander.

PSC Chairman DIG Hashimu Argungu urged Bakori to prioritize security, curb crime, and support businesses. He advised creating a crime map for strategic policing, assuring PSC’s support.
