The incident occurred on Tuesday morning and reportedly started in an apartment where a mother had left her three-year-old child locked inside before stepping out. Reports indicate that neighbors broke down the door to rescue the trapped boy, who sustained injuries and is currently receiving medical care.

The Kano Fire Service responded swiftly to the incident, working to contain the blaze and prevent further damage.

Kano Commissioner of Police, CP Ibrahim Adamu Bakori, visited the scene, ordered a discreet investigation, and sympathized with the victims. He confirmed that no lives were lost and urged the public to adopt safety measures to prevent fire outbreaks.
