The Deputy Governor of Kano State, Aminu Abdussalam Gwarzo has condoled the family of late Halilu Ibrahim Kundila, a lawmaker representing Bagwai/Shanono constituency at the Kano State House of Assembly, who died at the age of 59.

Daily News 24 reports that this was contained in a statement issued by Comrade Gwarzo’s Press Secretary, Ibrahim Garba Shuaibu on Sunday.

Comrade Gwarzo who doubles as the Commissioner for Local Governments and Chieftaincy Affairs expressed his deep sorrow over the untimely demise of Alh. Kundila.

According to the statement, late Kundila, a respected figure in Shanono and Bagwai LGAs, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday after a brief illness.

The news of his demise has left the communities in a state of mourning and sadness.

The Deputy Governor emphasized the tremendous contributions made by the late Lawmaker in the development of his constituents.

In his address to the grieving communities, Comrade Abdussalam said, “His passing is a great loss not only to his family and his constituencies alone but also to the entire state and nation at large. We pray Almighty Allah to grant the deceased Aljannat Firdaus.”

The Deputy Governor urged the people of Shanono and Bagwai to remain united and offer support to one another as they mourn the loss of their beloved Lawmaker

Kundila, who passed away on Saturday after a brief illness, left behind wives and several children.
