In the heart of Kumbotso Local Government Area, the Dambare community is raising its voice, urgently calling for governmental intervention to address the severe deterioration of their roads.

Abdulkadir Hassan, a Bayero University student and Dambare resident, shared his frustration, vividly recounting an incident where his phone was lost in waterlogged potholes. “The road is a nightmare,” he lamented, highlighting the daily struggles residents face due to impassable pathways.

Restaurant owner Shukura echoed similar sentiments, revealing how the road’s condition has deterred customers and adversely affected her business. “People avoid coming here because of the bad road,” she explained, emphasizing the economic toll on local enterprises.

Mahadi Mati, a water seller in the community, described the road as “completely dilapidated,” narrating challenges in transporting goods as his wheelbarrow frequently gets stuck in the mud.

Peace Joseph, a student enduring the prolonged ordeal, expressed disillusionment: “For over six years, it’s been the same story,” she sighed, citing ruined shoes and daily hardships exacerbated during the rainy season.

Mubarak Ibrahim Maisalati, a house agent, underscored the severity of the situation, noting how tricycle drivers struggle to navigate the treacherous terrain, often forced to turn back.

Umar Faruk, a shop owner, joined the chorus of discontent, urging swift action from local authorities. “The road is in an extremely bad state,” he emphasized, highlighting the urgency of addressing the community’s plight.

The deteriorating road conditions in Dambare have not only disrupted daily life but also posed risks to residents’ safety and economic stability. As frustrations mount, residents are uniting in their demand for urgent governmental intervention to repair and rehabilitate the roads.

The community’s plight serves as a stark reminder of the critical need for infrastructure development and maintenance in rural areas. With hopes pinned on prompt action from Kumbotso Local Government, residents await tangible improvements that will alleviate their struggles and restore essential connectivity.

As the call for assistance reverberates through Dambare, the resilience and determination of its residents stand firm, unwavering in their quest for safer and more accessible roads.
