The Kano State House of Assembly has passed a supplementary amendment budget of N215.3 billion into law following deliberations at its plenary session.
The approval came after a request from Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf was read on the floor of the House, with Speaker Jibril Ismail Falgore presiding.

Daily News 24 reports that this was disclosed in a statement issued by the Speaker’s Chief Press Secretary, Kamaluddeen Sani Shawai, on Monday. Falgore explained that the supplementary budget amounted to N215,378,374,543.62.
The Speaker assured that lawmakers would monitor the implementation of the budget through oversight functions, stressing that funds allocated to ministries and agencies must be spent responsibly.
According to the statement, the bill was passed into law after extensive debates and a thorough review by members of the Assembly.
