Speaker of the House of Representatives, Tajudeen Abbas, has appointed Isiaka Ibrahim, a lawmaker from Ogun State, as the new deputy chief whip.

Abbas announced the appointment during Tuesday’s plenary session in Abuja, stating that the decision followed consultations with relevant stakeholders and the All Progressives Congress (APC) South-West caucus.

Ibrahim, who represents Ifo/Ewekoro Federal Constituency in Ogun, replaces the late Adewunmi Onanuga, who passed away on January 15, 2025.
