The polls earlier scheduled for today Saturday the 25th will no longer hold for security reasons.

KADSIECOM Chairman, Dr Saratu Binta Dikko-Audu had earlier moved election in four local government areas from the 4th to 25th of September, for security reasons.

However, it appears the security situation in the LGA’s are yet to abate as the states electoral body continues to put council polls on hold in the affected LGA’s.

Council polls had taken place in 19 local government areas in the state.

The KADSIECOM Chairman, in a statement issued on Friday, said the exercise has now been cancelled in those two areas, for security reasons.

She, however, explained that Chairmanship and Councillorship elections would still hold in Chikun and Kajuru Local Government Areas on September 25, as earlier announced.

But that Kachia and Soba Local Government Areas were not safe for any elections.
