The Kano Police Command has urged residents, especially those living within the seventeen Local Government Areas bordered by Katsina, Kaduna, Bauchi, and Jigawa states, to report any suspicious movement of persons.
The Police Spokesman, DSP Abdullahi Kiyawa, made the call in the state, noting that the Command had since drawn up modalities that would provide adequate protection of lives and property of citizens.
DSP Abdullahi Kiyawa said: “We have taken punitive measures against any security threat. This is necessary because of the ones taken in states like Katsina and Zamfara.
“Those living within the 17 Local Government Areas of the state who share borders with Kaduna, Katsina, Bauchi and Jigawa should put their eyes to the ground.
“I urge you to call on any of these numbers 08032419754, 08123821575 if you notice any suspicious movement or threat.
“We thank you for all your support”, he said, all in Hausa language shading light to a report by a Local Radio Station in the state.
