Retired Comptroller General of Immigration, David Parradang, was found dead in his Abuja hotel room a day after checking in.

The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command disclosed that Parradang arrived at Joy House Hotel, Area 3 Junction, on March 3, 2025, around 12:00 PM, driving a black Mercedes Benz.

He paid N22,000 for a one-night stay and was later escorted by a hotel attendant to his room along with a female visitor.

The woman left the premises around 4:00 PM, after which Parradang remained in his room and was not seen again.

Concerned about his whereabouts, a military officer who was also a close friend of Parradang visited the hotel at around 4:00 AM on March 4. Accompanied by the hotel receptionist, he proceeded to Parradang’s room, where they found him lifeless, seated in a chair.

The police have confirmed that investigations are ongoing to determine the exact circumstances surrounding his death, as FCT Police Public Relations Officer SP Josephine Adeh dismissed speculations of kidnapping or assassination.
