According to the Deputy Chief Commander of the Corps, Dr. Mujahideen Aminuddeen, the operation took place in Fagge Local Government Area after residents raised an alarm over a heated argument involving the suspects. The dispute was said to be between a man identified as Habibu Idris and a woman, Basirat Tijjani, who was expected to receive the girls on behalf of another woman from Oyo State.

Hisbah officials said the disagreement started when Idris allegedly increased the agreed transportation fee from N10,000 to N15,000 per girl. The clash drew the attention of residents, who promptly alerted authorities.

The victims were identified as 14-year-old Kubairiyya Amadu, 17-year-old Rukayya Umar, and 14-year-old Rashida Usaini, all from Jigawa State.

Hisbah has since transferred the case to the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP) for further investigation and necessary action.
