The Deputy Commander-General of the corps, Dr. Mujahideen Aminuddeen, disclosed this on Tuesday while speaking on the operation, which was carried out based on intelligence reports.

He said operatives of the Fagge patrol command acted swiftly on the information and successfully stopped the vehicle, leading to the seizure of the consignment.

According to him, investigations confirmed that the alcoholic drinks were sent by a woman from Lagos to Kano, with about 13 packs recovered during the operation.

Dr. Mujahideen added that the driver of the vehicle has been arrested to aid further investigation, while efforts are ongoing to arrest the woman who allegedly sent the alcohol.

He also urged members of the public to continue reporting activities that violate accepted norms or the provisions of Islamic law, noting that public cooperation is vital to the success of the Hisbah Corps.
