The Deputy Commander General of the Corps, Dr. Mujahedden Aminudden Abubakar, confirmed the development in a voice message made available on Monday.
According to him, the rescued victims were identified as Fatima Zakari, 32, from Yobe State; Rahina Sale, 28, from Borno State; and A’isha Ahmad, 20, from Katsina State.
Dr. Abubakar noted that this marks the tenth time the Hisbah Corps has successfully foiled a similar trafficking operation. He stated that the suspect and the rescued women have been handed over to the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP) in Kano for further investigation and possible prosecution.
He appealed to parents to be more vigilant in guiding their children, stressing that they must uphold the divine responsibility entrusted to them to prevent such unfortunate occurrences.
