The Katsina State Hisbah Commission carried out the destruction of alcohol seized in Bakori town, within the Funtua area, on Saturday, December 13, 2025.

According to a statement released by Abdul Baki Mustapha, Public Relations Officer of Hisbah in Dandume Local Government, the exercise was supervised by the Hisbah Commander of Dandume, DC Bashir Lawal Balarabe, alongside other Hisbah officials from the Funtua area.
The statement said the destruction was aimed at curbing activities that contravene Islamic teachings and safeguarding the moral upbringing of the community.
The event saw the participation of Hisbah leaders and several Islamic scholars, who delivered sermons highlighting the dangers of alcohol consumption in Islam.
