Hudu was accused of attacking one Abdulsalam Ahmad with a dangerous weapon, reportedly leaving the victim with severe injuries to his head and hands. The incident was said to have occurred on September 9, 2024, around 7:00 p.m., in the Kurna area of Kano metropolis.
During the court sitting, the state’s Commissioner for Justice, Barrister Abdulkareem Kabir Maude, appeared on behalf of the prosecution and urged that the charge be read to the defendant.
After the charge was read, Hudu pleaded not guilty. His lawyer, Barrister Ibrahim Mu’az, informed the court that the defense team was ready to proceed with the case.
The prosecution, however, requested additional time to call three witnesses to testify in the matter.
Justice Abdu Aboki granted the request and adjourned the case to November 5, 2025, for further hearing.
