Gunmen have reportedly kidnapped family members of the Chairmanship Candidate of Peoples’ Democratic Party PDP, Mahdi hours after winning primary election.
The operation took place on monday at around 10:30 pm in a village called Guga under Bakori local government of Katsina state, burning down shops and raiding houses.
A source who spoke to Daily News 24 said the gunmen spent almost four hours slaughtering cattle.

He added: “They have looted all our stored foods.”
“Six people were killed and many injured. They kidnapped many villagers and later released my father in law who was ill and another who is handicapped”, he said.
He also confirmed that among the victims are one female and her child, family of the PDP chairmanship candidate.
The candidate whose family were victims said, “My personal house was burnt down! My wife, my brother, my daughter are among the kidnapped
persons.
“The village Head, Ado Hassan, Usman Babanyara, Umaru Dan’Asabe are among the persons abducted! Also several vehicles were gutted”, he said.
