Suspected bandits have kidnapped a husband, wife, and their child in Dogon Ruwa, a community in Wase Local Government Area of Plateau State.

Eyewitnesses said the attack happened around 11 a.m. when gunmen armed with sophisticated weapons invaded the area, firing indiscriminately to create panic. A youth leader in the community described the attack as chaotic, explaining that residents fled in fear while the assailants whisked away the family.
During the assault, two residents sustained gunshot wounds and were taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.
In response, security forces and vigilante groups launched a search operation, combing surrounding areas in an effort to locate the abducted family.
As of the time of filing this report, the Plateau State Police Command has yet to issue an official statement.
