Eyewitnesses said the attack happened around 2:15 a.m. when three armed men, wielding rifles and machetes, stormed Ma’ruf’s residence. They inflicted severe injuries on his 23-year-old son, Abubakar Yusha’u, severing his left finger before abducting his younger brother, Mohammed Bello Yusha’u.

The attackers also stole mobile phones and an undisclosed sum of money before fleeing the scene.

Residents said the gunmen operated for several minutes without interference, raising concerns over rising insecurity in the area.

Security operatives have launched an investigation and are working to rescue the abducted victim.
