Eyewitnesses reported that the assailants, who arrived in a Sienna and a Lexus SUV, seized Igboayaka and took him to an undisclosed location. His whereabouts remain unknown.

Chilos Godsent, president of the Igbo National Council (INC), confirmed the incident, expressing deep concern. He revealed that efforts to contact Igboayaka through his mobile lines had been unsuccessful, as they were switched off shortly after the abduction.

Meanwhile, the spokesperson for the Imo police command, Henry Okoye, stated that an investigation is underway to determine Igboayaka’s location. He also dismissed claims that the police were behind the arrest of the OYC president.
