Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf has inaugurated two judicial committees of inquiry to look into cases of diversion of public property, missing persons, and political violence between 2015 and 2023.
 
In a statement posted on his Facebook page, Abba 2stated that “Today, I had the distinct honor of taking a crucial step towards fulfilling one of our objectives by inaugurating two Judicial Commissions of Inquiry into cases of diversion of public property, political violence, and missing persons between 2015 and 2023.”

He said the first commission is to be chaired by Justice Zuwaira Yusuf, which will look into cases of political violence and missing persons from 2015 to 2023. “And it’s expected to unravel the criminal networks involved in the violence and unmask the sponsors to face justice.” Yusuf said.
 
The other, chaired by Justice Faruk Lawan, is assigned to look into cases of misappropriation of public property and assets from 2015–2023. 
 
The commissions were given 3 months to carry out their tasks.
