Kano State Governor Abba Kabiru Yusuf is set to inaugurate the newly reconstituted Shuurah Council on Monday, 8th September, 2025, at the Government House, Kano.

According to a statement signed by Comrade Ibrahim Abdullahi Waiya, the state’s Commissioner for Information and Internal Affairs, the Shuurah Council is designed to strengthen participatory governance, inclusiveness, and transparency in the state’s decision-making process.
It will function as an advisory body, offering guidance on policies and programmes aimed at advancing Kano State’s transformation agenda and promoting sustainable development.
The council comprises distinguished individuals representing key stakeholder groups, ensuring balanced representation across different sectors of the community. Members of the council and invited guests have been called to participate in the ceremony, marking another step by the Kano State Government toward consolidating democratic ideals and strengthening institutional frameworks for effective governance.
