Daily News 24 reports that this was disclosed in a statement issued on Wednesday by Khatimu Kulkul, Senior Special Reporter at the Ministry for Local Governments.

According to the statement, the computers were distributed under the supervision of the Commissioner for Local Government, Hon. Tajudden Usman Zaura, alongside the Permanent Secretary, Hajiya Fatima Adamu Barde. Both officials were instrumental in facilitating the governor’s approval for the initiative.

The statement highlighted that the intervention aims to provide modern tools that will enhance the daily operations of local governments, promote integration into modern governance systems, and strengthen coordination and efficiency across all councils.

The government added that the initiative forms part of its wider agenda to boost the capacity of local governments, ensuring they can deliver quality services at the grassroots and improve the welfare of citizens.
