Daily News 24 reports that the directive was issued on Thursday during an Iftar gathering at the Government House in Kano, where the governor met with heads of government agencies and special advisers.

Governor Yusuf revealed that the CCB’s Kano office had informed him that a significant number of appointees had yet to fulfill their asset declaration obligations. He emphasized the importance of adhering to the constitutional requirement, urging officials to complete and submit the necessary forms to avoid legal consequences.

Additionally, the governor expressed concern over the inactivity of some special advisers, stating that their primary duty is to provide counsel. He criticized those who had failed to offer advice for over a year, urging them to actively engage in governance by monitoring developments and submitting reports.

In recognition of their contributions, Governor Yusuf allocated 13 Hajj seats to heads of government agencies.

Speaking on behalf of the appointees, Dr. Rahila Mukhtar, Executive Secretary of the Kano State Contributory Health Care Management Agency (KCHIMA), expressed gratitude for the governor’s support. She also called for constructive guidance to ensure alignment with the administration’s objectives.
