In a statement issued on Saturday and signed by his spokesperson, Sanusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, the Governor described the late Dantata as a giant in Nigeria’s business landscape, whose impact was felt far beyond Kano.

“Alhaji Aminu Dantata was not just a successful entrepreneur but a father figure and source of hope to many,” Yusuf stated. “His lifelong dedication to philanthropy and development efforts has left an indelible mark on Kano and the nation at large.”

The Governor noted that Dantata’s contributions to commerce, charity, and community growth have been instrumental in shaping the socio-economic fabric of the state, adding that his passing was a great loss to both Kano and Nigeria.

He prayed for Allah’s mercy on the soul of the late elder statesman and urged the family and loved ones to take solace in the legacy he leaves behind.

Alhaji Aminu Dantata, known for his humility and generosity, spent decades building businesses and supporting numerous humanitarian causes. His death, many say, signals the end of an era for Kano’s business community.
